About Joe: Joseph (Joe) Sundeen is licensed as a psychologist. He received his Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Bethel University. He is bilingual (Spanish/English), with experience in providing services in the U.S. as well as overseas, in Peru. While in Peru, he and his family served as missionaries in Lima. As a provider, Joe strives to partner with his clients in the pursuit of healing, encouragement, restoration, and renewal.  He is focused often on Evidence-Based Practices (such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, CBT-Insomnia) in producing measurable results. Populations served include Faith-Based, Military, Latino and Spanish speaking, and individuals struggling with addictions (substances and behaviors). Briefly, a Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT) approach includes an emphasis on reducing/replacing negative thoughts and behaviors to those which are accurate, affirming, and adaptive.  In addition, Joe has also been trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I). Joe also has experience with individuals suffering from the effects of Post traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), including accident victims, military veterans, police officers, and individuals who experienced past abuse (physical, sexual, or emotional). He is a trained clinician in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is a procedure often used to treat PTSD.
