| Our Professional Staff Patrick Repp, MA, CCDP, Executive Director, is a Licensed Psychologist and Licensed Family Therapist in the State of Minnesota and the founder of MRC. A former short-term missionary, he has counseled with numerous missionaries, ministers, church leaders and their families over the past 20 years. His areas of special interest include depression, anxiety, stress, addictive behaviors, issues of transition and trauma. He is also trained in mediation / reconciliation and organizational congregational / systems analysis. Dr. Dan Rotach, MDiv, DMin, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. A former CBA pastor, his doctoral training specifically addressed the emotional needs of pastors and Christian workers. He is co-director of the Gentle Shepherd ministry to pastors and their families of the CBA, occasionally serves as an interim pastor and helps church congregations through the ministry of mediation and reconciliation. Dr. Daniel Lambrides, MDiv, DMin, is a Pastoral Counselor and consultant for MRC and the Arden Foundation. A former pastor, therapist and executive/ organizational consultant, he is involved widely in organizational counseling and seminar presentations. His training background is in family systems and family therapy. He is co-author of Healing Relationships, a manual for lay counselors. Sharon Mason, M.A., a Licensed Psychologist, provides counseling and assessment to adults and adolescents. She is an adjunct professor at Bethel College and facilitates brain tumor support group at United Hospital. Her areas of special focus are depression, anxiety, health-related and life transition issues. She has expertise in cognitive and personality assessment and interest in cross-cultural and ministry challenges. Debbie Klaver, M.A., is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She served as a missionary teacher and chaplain at the Bilingual School in Cuenca, Equador from 1981 to 1989 with World Mission Prayer League. She has received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College Graduate School and has worked as a director of a professional in-home family therapy program for children and adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral problems and their families. Her special interests include couple therapy, parent-child and family relationships, anxiety, depression, conflict resolution and missionary/ministry stressors. Kurt Wical, Ph.D., a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, brings to his practice of individual, marriage, and family therapy extensive training in how to work out the difficulties inherent in relationships. A significant focus of his work has been on addressing marriage and parenting issues. He also has had over nine years of experience in mission work, both as a child of missionaries and as an adult missionary, and experience in pastoral/congregational leadership. A foundational part of his work is the integration of emotional/psychological, social, physical, and spiritual resources into personal healing and growth towards wholeness. Mary Droullard, M.A., is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. Her experience includes a background in nursing and many years of missionary work in Pakistan. She counsels individuals, couples, and families. Her therapy interests are health and relationship issues, depression, cross-cultural adjustment, missionary assessment and missionary care. Johnben Loy, MBA, MTS, is a doctoral intern completing his Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Therapy at the University of Minnesota. He has worked with individuals, couples, and families in clinical settings since 2000. Johnben specializes in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, pre-marital and marital education, as well as issues related to male sexual compulsivity or addiction. He has over fifteen years of ministry and business leadership experience and is keen on helping marriages and families manage conflicts arising from ministry or business related tensions. Our Associate Professional Staff Dr. Penny Giesbrecht, Psy.D. is a licensed psychologist in private practice with Shoreview Family Psychologists and the author of Where is God When a Child Suffers? and Making the Most of the Best of Your Life. Dr. Robert Hurlbut, DMin, LMFT, is a Lutheran minister (ELCA) practicing as a family therapist with The Midwest Center for Personal and Family Development and well-regarded speaker on emotional/spiritual health. Lanny Law, D.Min., LMFT, is former Baptist General Conference Minister, Lanny currently provides Marriage and Family Therapy and Mediation Services in private practice in New Brighton, Minnesota. He and his wife, Maureen Rogers Law, are co-authors of the new book God Knows Marriage Isn't Always Easy. Dr. John P. Lundgren, MD, is a Family Practice Physician in Shoreview, MN, and medical director for the missionaries of the Baptist General Conference. |
